SOUTHEND United have until Monday evening to decide whether or not to bring James Olayinka back to the club on loan.

Olayinka is currently sidelined by an ankle problem which is expected to keep him out for four to six weeks.

But the midfielder had impressed before picking up the injury and Blues boss Mark Molesley must now weigh up whether or not to bring back the 20-year-old.

“If we want to do something with James Olayinka it needs to be done within the time restraints of the window,” said Molesley.

“James is no stranger to us and we’ve liked what we’ve seen.

“He’s shown he has good attributes but we will assess everything tomorrow in its entirety.

“First of all we have to pick the bones out of this performance and make sure we get that right.”

Olayinka has scored three goals in 16 games for Blues.
