SOUTHEND United midfielder Nathan Ferguson was disappointed not to pick up more than a point against Cambridge United.
The Shrimpers held the League Two leaders to a 0-0 draw at the Abbey Stadium.
But Ferguson felt Blues could earned more than a share of the spoils.
“We were good at the back and did well but to be honest I’m actually a bit disappointed because I think we could’ve come away with a win,” said the midfielder.
I thought we did well and we were resilient but maybe our intent wasn’t there.
“We could’ve had a penalty in the first half too but I think it’s been a good week in terms of the results, although we could’ve had six points really.”
The point lifted Blues up to 22nd in the League Two standings and Ferguson is already looking forward to building on it when Bolton visit Roots Hall on Saturday.
“The confidence is building and hopefully we can get another result against Bolton now in our next game,” said Ferguson.
“All my games have been away so I’ll be happy to play at home.
“I’ve never played on the pitch at Roots Hall so it will be nice.”
