SAM Hart missed Southend United's 3-1 win at Forest Green Rovers due to a groin injury.
The left-back has made 12 appearances since returning to Roots Hall this season.
But boss Mark Molesley was unable to call upon him at the New Lawn.
"Sam has a slight injury," said Molesley.
"We had an in house game on Monday which was great timing for a number of players but Sam aggravated his groin a little bit.
"We’re hoping it’s nothing long term but he’s tweaked it a bit.
"It gave Brandon (Goodship) an opportunity to be back on the bench and he came on and worked hard to help us see the game out."
