ECHOSPORT talks to Cheltenham Town fan Greg Parry ahead of Tuesday night's game with Cheltenham Town.

What have you made of the season so far?

"It's been positive season, a look at the table says we have to be really happy.

"Following the disappointment of last season's play offs you always worry that you struggle to progress but we've thankfully continued to push on.

"That said the football was slightly more attractive last season and more flowing, this year we've dug in more.

"We could have easily been top of the table by now with a number of draws or losses where we conceded late on.

"But it's a positive to be where we are late on into the season."

Cheltenham are third right now. How confident are you of getting promotion?

"It's so tight at the top, I mean really tight.

"I think it will come down to who manages their injuries and squad the best and we've had a challenge in last few months with injuries.

"We've had an unsettled midfield for a lot of the season and now we're starting to feel the strain in defence which has been our rock.

"It's hard to be confident, maybe cautiously optimistic is a better phrase.

"There's a lot of football still to play."

What have been the main reasons for the success so far this season?

"Solidity at the back with 26 league goals conceded all season.

"We had a settled back three or five all season until February when we started to get injuries. Tthe result at Cambridge last Tuesday was excellent. We have chiselled away at teams as opposed to blowing them away."

So who would you say are the dangermen?

"That's a really difficult question to answer and mainly because the team continues to evolve.

"Two months ago it would be Boyle and Tozer from set pieces but with the signing of Sam Smith and Callum Wright on loan in January they have started to find the net and change the way we play.

"Then there is always Alfie May with invaluable contributions and goals plusChris Hussey with his wand of a left foot."

What's the team news?

"I don't expect much change from Saturday but the pitch at Scunthorpe looked like an energy sapper so there may need to be a change or two, but we don't have a squad depth to rotate.

"Duff isn't one for unnecessary changes. The key will be whether Liam Sercombe is in contention after a few games out, that will bring some much needed drive into central midfield. But Tuesday maybe too early for him."
