SOUTHEND United manager Mark Molesley feels Richard Taylor will benefit hugely from his loan spell at Barnet.

Taylor, who has played in defence and attack for Blues this season, will spend the next month with the Bees in the National League.

And Molesley is certain it will be a big learning experience for the 20-year-old.

"It’s a fantastic opportunity for Richard," said Molesley.

"He’s a player who has been in and around the first team all season but he probably hasn’t had as many starts as he would like lately with the competition for places.

"He’s still learning his trade and important he gets out and earns his stripes.

"He’s doing it at a fantastic level with a great football club.

"It will be a great experience for him and one I’m sure he will be richer and better for."

Taylor made his debut for Barnet in Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Hartlepool United.
