SOUTHEND United goalkeeper Mark Oxley could have an injection in a bid to quicken his return from a groin problem.
Oxley is expected to be out for two to four weeks with the injury which has forced him out of Blues' last two matches.
But Blues boss Mark Molesley insisted Oxley would not be rushed back before he was completely ready to do so.
"Mark is still recovering and we’re looking at maybe injecting the area which hopefully might speed it up a bit," said Molesley.
"At the moment he’s still rehabbing and recovering to get back as quickly as he can.
"But at the same time we can’t go too quickly and risk any further injury."
