SOUTHEND United manager Mark Molesley has praised Harry Seaden's professionalism.
The young goalkeeper has missed out on a place in the starting line-up following the arrival of James Montgomery on loan from Gateshead.
But Molesley has been impressed by how Seaden, who played 45 minutes against Salford City on Saturday, has reacted to the obvious disappointment.
"Harry has handled the situation very, very well," said Molesley.
"It’s a frustrating situation for him but that second half performance against Salford showed maturity beyond his years.
"The reason he did so well is because of his attitude and mentality throughout the whole season.
"Mark Oxley has had a very good season and I believe Harry pushing him is a big part of that.
"Unfortunately for Harry he’s become a victim of the circumstances but that 45 minutes was a feather in his cap and he continues to keep working hard.
"He’s still a young lad but he’s probably felt the harshness of the rules.
"What I can say is that his attitude has been first class.
