SOUTHEND United striker Simeon Akinola was forced off against Oldham Athletic after suffering a hamstring injury.
Akinola had to be taken off 12 minutes from time at Boundary Park.
And Blues boss Mark Molesley believes it could be a similar injury to one the 28-year-old recently suffered.
"It’s probably similar to the Bolton game when his back locked up," said Molesley.
"It’s an issue in his back and hamstring and a little bit of rest had made it a little bit better.
"We will just have to see how it is but obviously it’s not great seeing him having to come off because he’s obviously a threat and at the moment we’re lacking goals so you don’t want to see your potential goalscorers coming off injured."
