Injured - Southend United midfielder Alan McCormack has suffered an ankle problem
SOUTHEND United midfielder Alan McCormack missed Saturday’s match at Oldham Athletic with an ankle injury.
McCormack suffered the problem in training on Friday.
But Blues boss Mark Molesley has yet to find out how long the Irishman will be out for.
“It’s an ankle issue he picked up on Friday and we will be getting that assessed after the weekend,” said Molesley.
“He’s seeing a specialist who did some surgery on him earlier on in his career but until someone sees it we don’t know how bad that one is.”
McCormack returned to Roots Hall in September and has made 13 appearances this season.
