ON LOAN Southend United midfielder James Olayinka has returned to Arsenal for further checks on a groin injury.

Olayinka was forced to miss Saturday's 2-0 defeat to Carlisle United after suffering another setback.

And Blues boss Mark Molesley does not yet not when the youngster will be back with Blues.

“James Olayinka has gone back to Arsenal and had a scan," said Molesley.

"Unfortunately he's picked up a bit of a groin problem and it's been an ongoing problem for him all season really.

"He had injections before he came back to us but it flared up again on Thursday which is disappointing.

"But we’ll find out more about that over the coming days."

Olayinka, who has scored three goals in 20 games this season, has made just two appearances since suffering an ankle problem in January.
