SOUTHEND United sit six points from safety in League Two after this afternoon’s matches.
Colchester United looked set to get back to winning ways against relegation rivals Barrow, only to concede two minutes from time as the game ended in a 1-1 draw at the Community Stadium.
The U’s remain just above the drop zone but have played a game more than the Shrimpers who head to Morecambe on Tuesday night.
Grimsby Town remain bottom of the table after a 1-1 draw with Cheltenham Town.
