SOUTHEND United fans have their say on Saturday's 0-0 draw with Crawley Town.

Far more dangerous with trained forwards on but as usual subs too late.Goodship created a great chance for Ferguson at the end.Why not put free kicks straight into the danger area instead of to the far edge and then expect a superhuman header back into the mix? RHF awful again.

@BryanGOBsmacked

For me our approach play is far too slow. Whenever we do attack the opposition have 10 men back, need Taylor playing and need to pass much more quickly we only seem to create 1/2 chances.

@jervetheswerve1

Some bits were better and it was a more interesting 0-0. But is still the same poor set of attacking players who are unlikely to get us out of this. I don't want to see RHF any more now others are back. He offers little up front and is a liability further back.

@Moorhouse79

Any other time this would have been an OK result. As last week I hope no player gets singled out but clearly our players need an intense week of finishing training when they get sight of the goal. We go again.

@phillsilver9

Another poor performance. Brown has identified the issues in particular the style of play. Without the quality it's going to be all about battling.

@cjblues2505

Need more confidence going forward, Hobson and Cordner looked solid! Sorry but Reeco should have been taken off sooner! Goodship looked good when came on, decent bit of play from him to cut the ball back to Ferguson! We need a killer instinct!!!

@hund85

It’s that stick or twist scenario. If brown had thrown everyone forward and gone three at the back maybe we would have won but likely we would have lost and not gained a point. The problem is brown loved a 1-0 and clean sheet himself so odd choice really as no different to MM.

@AdamMarsh000

Nothing but respect for MM but maybe Brown's 40 years league experience compared to MM zero will be the difference? Whether it's the positive or negative view on Brown he does have that background in the game, could be the difference.

@SearchTerry

Yes we needed a win, but I didnt think the performance was awful. Overall I felt we had chances to win, RFH was a clear chance. Ferguson maybe could have shot first time, but then Oxley made a great save. Fingers crossed we can get something from the Exeter game.

@dgsonnet

Too early for Brown to make an impact but the games are running out and our failure to take chances persists. There was real hope before the game that we could get a win to build some momentum for the run in. Has to be said though that Crawley were decent opponents.

@shrimpersaway

Almost as if our problems in front of goal are down to a lack of quality instead of the manager after all. Who would’ve thought.

@JoePayne_

We definitely looked better going forward and created more chances which was a postive. Excellent save by Oxley which saved us a point and a good defensive performance. Got to keep positive. In Phil We Trust.

@GarethRowe2

We seemed to have more tempo and attacking intent, particularly in the first half but still only one shot on target in the whole match. Bottom line is that our cutting edge has been blunt all season and (cliché warning) without goals you don't win games.

@shrimperlee

I was hoping for the mythical new manager bounce to have an effect but it almost doesn’t matter who is in charge right now. Seven home games without a goal will surely never be repeated in my lifetime. Maybe PB knows what MM had to deal with after this.

@piershewitt

Difficult to judge as was a very scrappy game. Looking forward to Phil having a full week with the team to prepare for the next game. Great to see Egbri back on the pitch but need players closer to the striker in the final third.

@dan_mays86

Plenty of effort, but just no quality in the final third. RHF has potential but is lacking in confidence, the free header and chance in the second are opportunities we need to take. Unless we can score goals we will be off to Bromley and Barnet.

@plowry1980

0-0 is as good as can be expected when your striker is a 36-year-old defender.

@JamesBurton90

We aren’t mathematically out of it, so still in it ! A massive 10 days. A week for PB on the training ground, then two huge games, with Col U being one of the biggest of our history. Better fight I thought, could have won it, could have lost it. Holmes' best game for us.

@harrisufc

OK but not enough. We need to beat Barrow and Col u at least to stand a chance.

@will77114744

To be fair to PB he had no time with the squad to work his “magic” (not my words). Just further highlights the absurd timing of the decision by RM. Arguably a bit more tempo & attacking intent in the first half but otherwise same old. Will be intrigued to see line up for next week.

@DonsEssex

We need two wins, with one of them against Col U. Countdown to the biggest and most important Essex derby in history begins!

@FSaleemi1

Another missed opportunity to claw ourselves closer to Col U and further away from Grimsby. Defence solid again but we can’t score, especially at home(seven games now). Survival is still possible but draws won’t be enough and unless we start scoring we’ll go down.

@tommyharris57

Felt like Molesley was still in charge with Dieng and Halford up top. Egbri should be starting over Reeco, he's just not good enough.
