SOUTHEND United manager Phil Brown has hinted Louis Walsh could have a part to play in the remainder of the Shrimpers’ season.
Walsh has made just two substitute appearances since joining Blues in December.
But the 20-year-old has already caught the eye of Brown in training.
“I’ve had more time with the players now and we had an 11 v 11 game too in which I have to say I was impressed by Louis Walsh,” said Brown.
“He got on the ball and he did well.
"I was impressed by Kyle Taylor too.”
Taylor has featured more regularly since signing on loan from Bournemouth and has made 27 appearances so far this season.
However, Walsh – who previously played for Guiseley and Barnsley – has played just 44 minutes of first team football since signing for the Shrimpers.
The winger has also not been in a matchday squad since the 5-1 defeat at Port Vale in January.
