SOUTHEND United fans pick their favourite ever moments in the Essex derby.
Peter Johnson's goal at Layer Road 1987 as well as Peter Daley’s, the LDV win and the year after winning on pens.
@sufcessex Moussa getting us a win for our first appearance at the Weston Homes, then this lot - Clarkey, Macca, Adam & Granty coming out at the end to ironically clap the U's fans, who'd been giving them stick througout.
@Kaylalula
The Goat sitting on the wall after scoring his second.
@rootshall1992
Remember a great atmosphere in the away end at Layer Road, think 1990, we won 2-0. Loved the John White goal at the Community Stadium 2015 on Boxing Day, that was a good visit. Be nice to add another happy memory tonight. Crossed fingers
@robertaskew7
The two LDV games for me. First time at layer Road.
@tommy2holes
Moussa winner
@prawnzone
That Drewe Broughton goal.
@jimijamesdavids
I quite enjoyed beating them at Layer Road when we could watch with pint on the big screen at Roots Hall. 2006?
@JimboCambo
Peter Daley
@rkpw54
1976 at Layer Road, a Colin Morris run from the halfway line and he scored. First date with Mrs S too!
@Bluntswood
I think Jean-Francois Christophe’s 30 yard screamer for a 3-3 draw at Roots Hall is up there. I went mad when that went in.
@JHowell1985
Mitchell Cole's break away goal.
@southendandy
Che all day
@RyanSufc
Che Wilson, of all people, avoiding a nose bleed when bursting into the left hand side of the box to tuck away our third goal in a 3-0 win at Layer Road in 2005/06, and then appearing to not know how to celebrate. Great times.
@jmpschooley
Peter Daley
@prnapper
Adam Barrett scoring in a 3-0 win in 2016 and running the whole length of the pitch to celebrate in front of the U's
@1StevieLovell55
Smacking their bum 3-0 at Layer Road, up there with the best away performance I’ve ever seen from us. First half we were electric.
