STAN Collymore has revealed he will be speaking to Southend United chairman Ron Martin on Friday.
Collymore has told Echosport of his desire to help the Shrimpers as they prepare for life outside the Football League.
And Collymore has now heard back from Martin.
Collymore tweeted: “Shrimpers. I've been contacted by Ron and will talk to him tomorrow.
“Don't expect fireworks, bulls**t, false promises or hopes other than a process that starts with a plan by someone with authority and an end point of a sustainable and progressive football club.”
Collymore added Martin was due to a release a statement later today and that the former Blues striker would also be speaking to his ex Southend team-mate Steve Tilson.
