CASTLE POINT JOGGERS: The Hemsworth family Adam, Laura and Sarah took part last weekend in the Little Bromley 10k which is described as a fast and flat rural course and a perfect spring event for those looking to get back into running.
Adam achieved a new PB finishing at the excellent time of 37.21.1
Laura also achieved a PB finishing at 57.16.11 while Sarah also had a super run finishing at 1.02.15.5
Much further afield, Ty Mckeon travelled to Otley in Yorkshire.
The Short Circuit Too Ultra was carried over from last year and is one of a series of the Punk Panther races based in Otley.
This is a challenging course of over 34 miles with 5000ft of climb taking in Ilkley Moor and the stunning scenery of the Wharfedale valley.
There were only 27 starters but formidable Ty managed to get back in 25th place taking 9hr 28mins!
Ty said: "It was full of lung busting hills, deep mud and boggy moorland”
One of the club's super veteran runners Albert Miles took on the Great Baddow virtual 10k using the Southend sea front as his route finishing 1.58.59 so congratulations to him
