Moving on - Timothee Dieng is expected to leave Southend United
TIMOTHEE Dieng is set to leave Southend United.
The Frenchman has made 113 appearances for the Shrimpers since signing in 2018.
But boss Phil Brown now expects him to move on.
“We’ve put an offer in but unfortunately I don’t think he’s going to go for it," said Brown.
"He rates himself as a League One player but if something doesn’t come along for him then we might have a chance.
"We did want to open negotiations and we did make an offer but he hasn’t engaged with us.
"I didn’t expect him to either to be fair but lets see where it goes."
