SOUTHEND United manager Phil Brown is looking to end his search for a new goalkeeper this week.
The Shrimpers boss is looking for a shot-stopper to replace Mark Oxley who looks certain to depart this summer.
And Brown feels he is close to bringing in a new custodian.
“I’ve met with three good goalkeepers already and there are one or two from Premier League clubs who would be keen to join us on loan,” said Brown.
“It’s an important position and one I want to try and get sorted this week so I have a decision to make.”
Blues have already signed James Dunne, Josh Coulson, Rhys Murphy and Jack Bridge this summer and are also keen on bringing in a striker from a National League club.
