Southend United have thanked fans after a large majority donated the cost of their season tickets for the Covid-hit 2020/21 season to the club.
A total of 81% of supporters have donated the money to the club and in return, the Blues revealed that they will provide fans with a unique exclusive replica shirt. It will be free for adults, 50% off for seniors, 25% off for ‘other’ category, if renewing for the 2021/22 season.
For fans who donated, the club will honour 2021/22 Season Card prices for 2022/23 even if they are promoted.
Generous fans will have their name on the ‘Wall of Thanks’ which will be displayed prominently at Roots Hall and then moved to the new stadium, and will have free entry to all pre-season friendlies.
Fans will be entered into a draw to win either a spot at the Golf Day (two chances to win), an invite to the team photo day and be in a team photo (five chances to win), hospitality for first game of the season, a mascot package (five chances to win) or a 12th Man Package (five chances to win).
The other option for fans is to get a pro-rota credit to their account.
To recognise the loyalty of fans who purchase a 2020/21 season card, they will be issued with an exclusive lanyard.
The lanyard not only provides a visual representation of fans’ loyalty but will entitle them to benefits including an exclusive training session at Roots Hall followed by a meet the players and management session.
