SOUTHEND United manager Phil Brown felt Blues' five trialists made a mixed impression against West Ham United.
Yasin Ben El-Mhanni, Deon Moore, Matt Dennis, Will Atkinson and Hamzad Kargbo all featured for the Shrimpers in their 5-1 defeat at Roots Hall.
And Brown will now be mulling over his next move.
"One or two of them showed positive signs and one or two of them didn’t but I’ll leave you to work out who," said Brown.
"The mentality of a player coming in from the Premier League can be questionable but when they’re prepared to come to this level that’s also the interesting part.
"They’re willing to put their bodies on the line and I thought one or two of them did.
"However, one or two of them fell by the wayside and looked a bit lost but we’ll make decisions Saturday night.
