SOUTHEND United are looking to sign both Matt Dennis and Hamzad Kargbo on loan, Echosport understands.
Dennis, who has been on trial from Norwich City in pre-season, can play out wide or down the middle in attack while Queens Park Rangers striker Kargbo has also featured in Blues’ warm up matches.
And the Shrimpers are now attempting to bring the duo to Blues on loan deals which will initially be for the first half of the season.
Blues will continue their preparations for the forthcoming National League with a pre-season friendly at Dartford this weekend.
Goalkeeper Steve Arnold is expected to feature after recovering from coronavirus while new signing Sam Dalby should also play for Phil Brown’s side.
