SOUTHEND United fans have their say on Saturday's 1-0 win at King's Lynn.

Really solid performance. King's Lynn only had a couple of opportunities to score. We won but missed a few good chances to give the scoreline a more convincing look.

@TerryEd123

It was good to see us win, good to see us keep a clean sheet and good to see fans back. But it was great to see smiles on the players faces both during and at the end of the game.

@shrimperlee

Solid all round performance. Coulson was outstanding at the back. Dalby and Murphy will score goals. Great atmosphere.

@crowesr2

First half excellent, second half nail biting at times. Should have scored more

@nikitheshrimper

Great to get the three points on the board nice and early but still room for improvement. A better team (no disrespect to Lynn) would have punished our mistakes. That said we could have scored two or three more ourselves. Onwards and upwards though.

@RyanStubbs_

Played well until they changed to 4-2-4. Phil needs to be quicker to change to match sides like this or we will throw away points. Great start against a capable side.

@stevecaton66

Great start!

@StevieLovell_1

Lots of positives, that said we should have punished them. Murphy should have had a hat-trick.

@SteveShelsher

No better way to start the season than with three points and also by showing that we're up for a battle. All credit has to go to that travelling away support. After everything we've gone through, the travelling fans were unbelievable. Massive credit to all who made it.

@ShaunMalone1997

Enjoyable match both teams full at it should have won by more but they could easily have nicked a point as they had a good last period so we need to see out matches a little stronger.

@phillsilver9

We won. Literally nothing else matters and it feels good.

@GeorgeWebb77

Not pretty at times. Work rate excellent. Good team performance. Coulson a real unit. Arnold MOTM for me.

@philjd52

Battled well and played good football at times. On another day we'd have put three or four past them. A win was all that mattered.

@DanBasildonBlue

Thought we played very well in parts, although my heart wasn’t fond of us sitting back in the last 10! Plenty of positives though and hopefully we can use this result to kick on.

@chazzyone

A fair amount of positives from that. Dalby was brilliant up top, Murphy didn’t have the luck but will score tons if he gets into those positions each game. Arnold looked solid with his handling.

@D_Feakins

Clean sheet, no injuries, red card and three points away from home. Say no more really.
