CANVEY Island will do battle with Bedford Town tomorrow night, as they replay their FA Cup Second Qualifying Round tie after the two sides drew 0-0 on Saturday, reports Leon Imber.

The weekend's clash was watched by 424 fans and they nearly saw Mark Bentley’s tea take a late lead as Matthew Price fired inches wide in the 85th minute.

The Gulls still have it all to do in the replay, however they will be buoyed by the fact that the reverse fixture will be played at Park Lane.

The hosts reached the Second Round of the competition last season.

The victors of the tie will face either Mulbarton or Welwyn Garden City in the next round.

Elsewhere, Basildon United will also replay their fixture from Saturday, John Guyton’s side set to welcome Wingate and Finchley to The Core Refurbishments Stadium.

The two sides drew 1-1 in North London at the weekend, Luke Hirst converted for the visitors in the 14th minute only to be cancelled out by a goal from Alieu Njie three minutes later.

The home side were disadvantaged late on, as J’Ardell Stirling was sent off for the Blues, however it was too late for Guyton’s men to put pay to that as the Bees had to settle for a draw.

Whoever emerges victorious will host Baldock Town in the Third Qualifying Round.
