ON-LOAN Southend United winger Matt Dennis was forced to drop out of the squad for Saturday's defeat at Halifax Town after suffering a hamstring injury in the warm up.
Dennis, who is with Blues from Norwich, had been due to be on the bench at the Shay.
But Blues boss Phil Brown was forced into making a late change with Hamzad Kargbo being selected among the substitutes.
"Matty Dennis tweaked his hamsting in the warm up," said Brown.
"He’s only a boy and he doesn’t understand what football’s all about.
"I’m not blaming him for anything today but he tweaked his hamstring.
"He had been complaining all week about not being 100 per cent but he went out there because he wants to.
"We’ve got issues with young, old and indifferent.
"But the main issue is what’s underneath the shirt and we’ve got to improve that before we can improve anything.
