BOWERS and Pitsea marched their way through to the FA Cup fourth qualifying round as they beat Hornchurch 2-0 last night, reports Leon Imber.
The two sides went into the half time interval with the game level at 0-0, however, Rob Small’s side only took nine minutes to take the lead after the restart, Danny Norton on target for the visitors.
Bowers doubled their lead in the 80th minute, as Bradley Sach got himself on the end of a cross delivered by Dan Trendall to double his side’s lead.
Despite losing a two goal lead on Saturday, Bowers managed to hold on and set themselves up for a shot at reaching the first round proper.
They will face Aldershot Town in the fourth qualifying round, who themselves were victorious last night, their first win under the management of former Southend United boss Mark Molesley.
