FORMER Aldershot and Leyton Orient defender Jamie Sendles-White is training with Southend United.

The 27-year-old centre-back, who has represented Northern Ireland at youth level, is currently without a club.

And Blues boss Phil Brown will now be taking a look at him at Boots & Laces.

"I’m still looking for a centre-half and we’ve got one training today in Jamie Sendles-White," said Brown.

"He’s got a history of being in the Football League but he’s also been in the National League.

"He’s just been up in my office and I didn’t realise he was only 27.

"So for all the doom and gloom merchants who say we’re always looking at older players, we’re bringing in a 27-year-old this time.

"We will have a look and see what his fitness levels are like.

"He’s not been training with anyone so I would imagine they’re way behind what we need at this moment in time."
