Stepping down - Ricky Duncan has reverted to academy manager at Southend United
RICKY Duncan has stepped down as director of football at Southend United.
The long-serving academy manager took on the added responsibility in the summer.
But he has now reverted to solely overseeing the club's youth set up
A club statement said: "Southend United can confirm that Ricky Duncan will step down from his role as Director of Football with immediate effect.
"Duncan will remain involved at the Football Club in the position he previously held as Academy Manager."
