BOWERS & PITSEA secured a historic win as they beat National League side Aldershot Town 2-1 at the Len Salmon Stadium, entering the hat for the FA Cup first round, reports Leon Imber.
Lewis Manor tucked away a penalty on the stroke of half-time to put the Isthmian Premier side ahead.
However, in the 72nd minute, Corrie Andrews levelled the game for the National League Shots, who are managed by former Southend United boss Mark Molesley.
But eight minutes later, Rob Small’s side retook the lead and managed to hold onto it, Quentin Monville on target for Bowers.
The seventh tier side will be joined in the hat for the first round proper by teams of League One and League Two.
