SOUTHEND United will head to Chesterfield in the first round of the FA Cup.

The Shrimpers saw off Chertsey Town 4-1 in the fourth qualifying round of the competition and will now travel to the Spireites.

Blues were beaten 4-0 by Chesterfield at Roots Hall eight days ago before being knocked back in their attempts to speak with Spireites boss James Rowe.

Bowers & Pitsea have also been handed an away draw in the first round and will travel to League One side Lincoln City.

The first round proper will be held between Friday 5 and Monday 8 November, with winning clubs getting £22,629 from the competition prize fund.
