STAN Collymore has revealed Southend United's new head coach Kevin Maher gave the best presentation he has ever seen when being interviewed for the role at Roots Hall.
Maher's appointment was confirmed yesterday.
And Collymore, who was part of a four man panel to pick the new boss, was incredibly impressed by what Maher had to say.
"I’ve sat in on hundreds of interviews in businesses I’m involved in, football interviews, you name it but this was the best presentation, pound for pound, I have ever seen," said Collymore on a Zoom call with supporters.
"He had it all in a powerpoint presentation and he nailed it.
"He nailed how players will top up their minutes when they’re not playing every week so they’re fit and ready.

"He has a full month by month quality training schedule to get them minutes on the pitch and at the training ground.
"He had graphs on the ages of the squad and his presentation was exceptional.
"It was the best presentation I have ever seen."

"The owner believes that, the CEO believes that and the supporters believe that too I think."
