ANOTHER Southend United fan has his say.

It's been a whirlwind since the Echo headline of 4th October - "Blues Boss Ron Fronts Up Furious Fans" and in the ensuing 15 days of protests, red cards, zoom meetings and much pain for supporters, Stan Collymore seems to have taken over the running of the Club.

The manager and his team have gone and a trio of 'coaches' installed.

The club's usual cloudy communication is now crystal clear as 'Stan' logs his every move on social media.

The players may be the same, but we have new hope and I am sure we wish all on the playing staff well.

Not-so crystal clear is the long-term future of the club and with the council looking again at the relocation proposals, attention needs to focus sharply at how the football club will benefit from the move.

The much-vaunted claims of 'massive revenue streams' that the club would enjoy have all gone and have been replaced with an 'open floor space they could let out' …… I am afraid the 'sums' don't seem to add up.

Couple this with the fact that the stand containing the said 'floor space' will only be built at a later date - 'subject to funding' and you can understand concern.

We must also remember that the club will still not own the stadium.

So, who is fighting the football club's cause, making sure the club receives the best possible deal from this massive development?

Currently all I see is our club being shunted down the pecking order, while all around realise their dream to the full.
