SOUTHEND United are still assessing Simeon Akinola’s knee injury.
The Shrimpers striker, who has missed the last three games, will again be absent for Saturday’s trip to Boreham Wood.
But Blues head coach Kevin Maher has yet to discover the full extent of the injury.
“Sim has picked up and injury we’re going to get it properly assessed,” said Maher.
“We’ll look into it and I’ll be chatting to the medical department today to discuss what his process will be.”
Akinola scored twice in 24 games last season before being frozen out by former Blues boss Phil Brown.
The 29-year-old earned a surprise recall against Eastleigh at the start of October but picked up an injury.
