THERE were defeats for Rochford Hundred and Westcliff in National Two South this afternoon.
Rochford suffered a narrow 20-19 defeat to Leicester Lions at Magnolia Road while there was more pain for bottom of the table Westcliff as they lost 89-0 against Old Albanians at the Gables.
Westcliff have now lost all nine of their games this season.
In London One North, Southend Saxons slipped to seventh in the table after losing 28-17 to table-topping Sudbury at Warners Bridge.
In London Two North East, bottom of the table South Woodham Ferrers continued their winless start to the season with a 40-0 defeat at West Norfolk who sit immediately above them in the standings.
In London Three Essex, Canvey Island are still without a win after losing 43-8 at Campion.
In Essex One, table-topping Billericay made it five wins out of five after winning 62-14 at Writtle Wanderers while Basildon won 20-5 at Barking.
