JACK Bridge will be gunning for revenge against Chesterfield this weekend - boosted by scoring his first senior goal for Southend United.
The left wing-back bagged Blues’ final goal in their 4-1 win against Dover Athletic on Tuesday night.
And he is now keen to secure more success in Saturday’s FA Cup first round against the Spireites who won 4-0 at Roots Hall last month.
“I feel like we owe them one after playing them at home not so long ago,” said Bridge.
“It really was a horrible day.
“It wasn’t nice to be on the pitch but sometimes you get those kind of days in football.
“I feel like we owe them one and you always want to go on a good cup run.
“It creates a different kind of buzz and hopefully we can get into the third round, then see who we draw.”
