NATHAN Ralph and Abu Ogogo were both forced to miss Southend United’s 1-0 defeat at Grimsby Town due to injuries.

Ralph missed out with an ankle problem while Ogogo was absent with a leg injury.

But Blues boss Kevin Maher is unsure how long the duo will be out of action for.

“I’m not sure if they will be available for Tuesday’s game with Maidenhead but we’re back in on Sunday and we will find out more then,” said Maher.

“Hopefully it’s not too serious.

“Obviously it was serious enough for them to miss the match which was frustrating because to get Ralphy back last week was a big plus.

"It’s disappointing to lose him again but hopefully it won’t be too long.”

Ralph missed the vast majority of the past two seasons due to injury concerns and has made missed six matches this term, including Friday’s defeat, after a repeat of an old injury.

“It’s a slight ankle injury,” confirmed Maher.

“It’s a previous one that’s flared up again.”

And it is a similar situation with Ogogo.

“Abs had a dead leg similar to the one he had before,” added Maher.
