SOUTHEND United left-back Nathan Ralph is expected to be back in training today.

The defender missed Friday night's 1-0 defeat at Grimsby Town with an ankle injury.

But Blues boss Kevin Maher is hopeful Ralph will be fit enough to feature at Altrincham this weekend.

"Fingers crossed he will train today and we will see how he is," said Maher.

"It will be a big plus if he can get through that."

However, Ralph is not Blues' only injury concern and Maher will also be keeping tabs on James Dunne and Abu Ogogo.

"Dunny had a whack on his head on Friday but hopefully he will be close to it," said Maher

"Abs might be struggling.

"It might take a little bit longer with him but you never know."
