SOUTHEND United head coach Kevin Maher feels Zak Brunt has the quality to impress in a range of midfield roles.
The on loan Sheffield United youngster featured more on the left hand side at Grimsby Town on Friday.
And Maher believes Brunt is also suited to playing slightly wider.
"Zak has got great quality on the ball and sometimes you can find pockets of space in those areas," said Maher.
"Sometimes the midfield can be a bit congested so it’s certainly something we can look at again.
"He can play a number of roles but the most important thing is where you get him on the ball.
