CONCORD Rangers begin their quest for more FA Trophy memories this weekend.

The Beach Boys were beaten 1-0 by Harrogate Town in the final of the competition at Wembley six months ago and begin this season’s competition, at the second round stage, against AFC Totton at the Aspect Arena on Saturday.

Billericay Town also play their first FA Trophy match of the season, as they visit Maidstone United.

The Isthmian North’s top side Canvey Island face a tough test as they do battle with National League South side Tonbridge Angels at Park Lane.

However, Brad Wellmen’s side are in fine form having won each of their last 12 matches.

Elsewhere, in Isthmian Premier action, East Thurrock United visit Merstham.

Marc Harrison and Liam Wallace have managed to arrest the Rocks’ losing run, and currently place just two points and one place outside the relegation zone.

Six places and eight points separate them and their opponents on Saturday.

In the Isthmian North, Basildon United host Romford.

Meanwhile, Hashtag United entertain Grays Athletic at the Len Salmon Stadium.

To round up Saturday’s action, Hullbridge Sports host AFC Sudbury.
