ECHOSPORT chats with Tom and George from Notts County Talk ahead of tomorrow's match.

Notts County are currently seventh in the table. What have you made of the season so far?

"Apart from the opening game and spells here and there, Notts have never really got into full gear and that has cost us in some games.

"To say we haven't been at our flowing best, we have to be happy that we are still tucked in behind the leaders nicely."

What are the hopes for Notts this season and what do you feel is possible?

"The hope has to be to win the league, especially after two failed attempts at the play offs. As fans we really don't want another play off run, but with the strength of the league this season, it's going to be very tough to actually finish in that top spot."

Southend are certainly finding it tough this year. As another big club at this level, how have Notts found the National League since being in it?

"As fans, we were told how difficult the National League was and never really believed or understood it.

"Some fans genuinely believed we would walk the league that first year and what we have found out is that every team in this league can beat you and make life very difficult.

"It feels like the longer you stay in the National League, the more difficult it is to get out."

Who is the dangerman?

"Without a doubt it's Ruben Rodrigues. He's creative, hardworking and is brilliant in the air, not to mention his goal tally is slowly creeping up.

"We are also still waiting for Cal Roberts to hit full form this season.

"When that happens we will have two very dangerous attacking players for the opposition to deal with."

What's the team news?

"It should be a relatively unchanged side, apart from the possible inclusion of Jayden Richardson at wing back who has been signed as cover for the missing Dion Kelly-Evans."
