SOUTHEND United boss Kevin Maher is still looking to add to his squad.

Maher has brought in defender Ollie Kensdale and midfielder Harrison Neal as well as extending Kacper Lopata's loan deal until the end of the season.

But the Blues boss remains keen to bring in more players.

"I have to say everyone connected to the club has been out working and watching players," said Maher.

"John (Still), Stan (Collymore) and everyone connected with the department have been brilliant.

"But for me it’s about getting the right player for the right price at the right time.

"I’m sure we will do that and the club have been brilliant with us too.

"I’m sure if we identify the ones we want they will support us.

"Fingers crossed, further down the line, we can bring one or two more in."

But for now, Maher is fully focused on the players he already has at his disposal for Saturday's match with Weymouth.

"The players out there are giving everything at the minute and they performed ever so well at Bromley in our last game.

"We have changed a few things but to change a whole team straight away is not something I’m keen on.

"We can talk about signings etc but lets concentrate on performing Saturday."
