SOUTHEND United fans have their say on Tuesday night's 2-1 win against Yeovil Town.

Sore throats, croaky voices, blistered hands for our drummer and a few headaches no doubt tomorrow… but tonight, a result that really made us all feel proud to support SUFC again. The hard work put in down the training ground is finally starting to pay off & long may it continue!

First time in ages that I sat watching us and enjoyed it. Felt like a proper Southend team all working together and that first half in particular was fantastic. Should have been three up at the break really with the chances we created but a well deserved three points.

Fantastic performance with every player putting in a proper shift. First time in a long time it feels like I’ve got my football club back.

I had forgotten why I come to games. Now I remember.

The best performance I have seen from the blues at Roots Hall for a few years. Every player giving everything. The three points is massive but the effort and performance means more. Formation Is working and the management team have got the players fighting for the shirt.

Just absolutely immense, every single one of them. Best we’ve played in years and I don’t think it’s a coincidence that RH felt the loudest it has in a long while. Could honestly call any of them MOTM. Truly feels like the corner has been turned.

Unbeaten in four and I have left Roots Hall excited to go back and watch us again. Every player took ownership of their position and bossed it. Arnold made a really great save but every single one of them put a shift in and wore the shirt with pride. Maher working magic.

11 points from 18 after getting 11 from the first 45 on offer. The first signs of all the new backroom staff's hard work starting to come through and credit to the players too, that was a thoroughly enjoyable performance today.

I’ve left Roots Hall with a buzz and I haven’t felt like that in long time. Great performance from everyone finally we looks like a team and a threat again we was unlucky not to score a extra goal or two. The press, commitment, and physical side was also great to see.

First time in soo long leaving Roots Hall knowing that we deserved to win and maybe just maybe things are finally starting to look up.

First half we were exceptional one of the best performances in a long time. The desire, workrate and constant hassling of Yeovil on the ball was excellent to a man the team were excellent. Dennis pace, Dalby hold up play, Neal controlling the middle and our back line. Superb!

Immense effort tonight and no shortage of skill, my journey back to London so much more enjoyable, it was the Roots Hall of old. Let’s see how far we can go now. I love Dennis acknowledgement to the crowd, the current management team are getting us back on track.

For the first time in a LONG time today, I had a big smile on my face walking out of Roots Hall after a game. Tactically outclassed Yeovil for the majority of the game… a saying that I’d be saying in reverse not too long back… what a difference! Picking MOTM is impossible.

Bossed the game, were on top throughout although made it tense at the end. Best I’ve seen Demetriou play for years although hard to single out anyone for MOM. A genuinely excellent performance and it really does look like we’re turning a corner. @JamieGreen95

Probably the best performance of the season for me. I thought the lads were excellent from the first until the last minute. There is finally light at the end of this long tunnel.

A really expansive, intelligent, organised, committed, intense and physical performance. Best I've seen in over three years. The pressing was excellent too, Yeovil couldn't cope. Massive credit to Kev, Daz & Benno for their insane work on the training pitch. Onwards and upwards!

This team is unrecognisable from the one that started the season. We actually play with a purpose now.
