SOUTHEND United suffered a double injury blow during last night’s 2-1 win against Yeovil Town.
Midfielder Will Atkinson was forced off at half-time with a hamstring problem before Rhys Murphy had to be taken off with a knee injury.
But Blues boss Kevin Maher does not yet know how serious the injury setbacks are.
“We will have to wait and see with Rhys,” said Maher.
“He felt something at the back of his knee.
“It’s probably too early to tell how bad it is but fingers crossed he will be OK.
“Will had a tight hamstring and we will have to check on that too.
“It was a forced change but Fergie (Nathan Ferguson) came on and did well.”
