WESTCLIFF and Rochford Hundred were both beaten in National Two South on Saturday but there was victory for Southend Saxons in London One North.
Westcliff, who have yet to win this season, lost 49-12 at Leicester Lions while third from bottom Rochford lost 24-18 at home to Bury St Edmunds.
However, there was better news for Southend as they beat Belsize Park 22-10 to move up to sixth in London One North.
In London Two North East, bottom of the table South Woodham Ferrers lost 34-11 at home to Stowmarket while in London Three Essex, bottom of the table Canvey were beaten 44-5 by Upminster who sit just above them in the standings.
In Essex One, Billericay were handed a home walkover win against Bancroft.
