SOUTHEND United fans have their say on Saturday's FA Trophy defeat at Dagenham & Redbridge.
We missed our rested and cup tied players. Egbri nowhere near good enough, very bad miss. Hope our full team are OK by Friday.

Today highlights our two remaining weaknesses. Firstly we don’t score enough goals, especially when on top in a game, and secondly the lack of depth in our squad. Disappointing result today but if we’d have scored when on top early on, it might have been a different story.

We played well for parts in the first half but in the second half they dominated. They took their chances and we didn’t , although we didn’t help with poor defending.

Cup run would be nice but this year we need to survive. Next year we’ll go for the double.
@glentiesbhoy
First half we were all over them but lacked any danger in the final third. We came out flat in the second half, Dagenham wanted it more and it showed. Horrible defending, slow and sloppy. Looked like two different Southend’s tonight. Really disappointing after such a strong first half.
@phoenixmiketv
Glad that’s over with, onto more important things like Friday.

Could not care a less about that trophy or today's results! All I’m interested in is getting points from the next three games. All very winnable if we play like we did Tuesday!

Not the end of the world as long as it doesn't affect the mood in the camp too much. Friday's game much more important - we go again.
@Simon_Dodd
Started the first 30 minutes with a good tempo but let Dagenham off by not working their keeper enough. Second half Dagenham started on the front foot and once their first goal went in there was only one winner. On to Friday but work to be done in training.

I didn't think there was much wrong in the performance today apart from not taking the chances we had. Dennis so keen to score but his final touch was lacking.
