NOOR Husin is keen to be part of a bright future at Southend United.

The 24-year-old midfielder has joined the Shrimpers from National League South side Dartford.

And Husin is keen to help Blues work their way up the National League table.

"The club is trying to go places, move in the right direction and do the right things and hopefully I can be part of that,” said the midfielder.

"But I’m delighted to be here.

“It took I while but I’m so happy it’s all done.

"I knew they had been watching me, the gaffer and John Still who got in contact with me, and I was really keen as soon as I heard.

"I’ve played at a decent level previously and hopefully coming to Southend I can help and bring my qualities to the team.”

Husin has signed a two and a half year deal with Blues and has already been impressed by boss Kevin Maher.

"The gaffer has been very positive and everyone knows this is a massive club,” said Husin.

“ He played for the club himself so he told me everything about it.”
