SOUTHEND United fans have their say on Tuesday's 1-1 draw at Aldershot Town.

Shame to concede so early Dominated for pretty much most of the game, and had we been a bit more clinical in front of goal, would have come away with all three points, which would have been well deserved.

@steveg671

Controlled the game and quick to regain possession when we lost the ball, our perseverance got us a point in the end against a very defensive minded Aldershot.

@TerryEd123

Absolutely loving seeing players wear the jersey with pride again and seeing a team fight until the end. Just need some machines to start building the new stadium.

@glentiesbhoy

An almost faultless performance. Very confident, passing football from every player on the pitch, we bossed it. It was a well worked goal from Blues. Harry off the mark, and goes to show how far we’ve come in a short space of time to feel gutted we didn’t take all three.

@ScottyBarber12

Great to see us pushing to the death to get something out the game. They were hard to break down but we need to be prepared to break the lines more often. JD added some directness at the end that secured a more than deserved point.

@crowesr2

I’m torn between this being a point won, or two points dropped!

@BenRudd79

I thought we were comfortably the better side, everyone looked happy to be on the ball and the was some good fluidity about the team. The only downside was, for all our good play we lacked the cutting edge in the final third. Thoroughly deserved a point.

@PhilOwen702

Could have done with being a but more direct at times. Stronger options off the bench and we'd have won. Can't argue about the effort though. Fantastic point.

@therealdaddsy

The goal seemed to be coming for most of the second half… fantastic finish, the sort of goal we’ve been missing for a very long time. Overall, a throughly deserved point to keep up our good run of form as of late. Bring on Dover on Saturday!

@DanMcSUFC

Kept possession of the football well tonight. Looked the better team out the two. Very frustrating watching us get into crossing positions and not able to beat the first man. With a bit more quality, the strikers would've had more to fed off.

@SeanGladman

This is the new, never say die, Southend United, and I'm all for it. Can't wait to get down to Dover on Saturday.

@ShaunMalone1997

Good performance. Big per cent of possession but lacked cutting edge in the final third. Typical Molesley team set up not to concede. Patience paid off and we got our reward. Great finish from Harry Cardwell. Missed Dennis's pace. Onwards and upwards.

@dfitzger60

Continuing the unbeaten run, disappointing to concede so early but we dominated the ball and lacked that cutting edge in the final third with poor crosses into the box. Worked hard as Aldershot were happy sitting back and credit to the lads to come away with a point.

@dan_mays86

An equaliser in the last five minutes away on a cold Tuesday night, this is why we do these silly journeys!

@sufcberry

Way too much backwards and sideways play, JD and Ferguson transformed the game, driving forward, intelligent passes. Can't help thinking if they had started we might have won that easily.
