SOUTHEND United boss Kevin Maher was pleased with how midfielder Noor Husin performed on his first start for the Shrimpers last night.
Husin replaced the injured Matt Dennis in the starting line-up for Tuesday night’s 1-1 draw at Aldershot Town.
And Maher was happy with his display in the centre of the park.
“Noor did well,” said Maher.
“It’s difficult to get space when there’s a lot of bodies between the goal and the midfield.
“But he showed his quality on the ball at times and I was pleased with him.
“I was pleased with a lot of them to be fair.”
Husin also came off the bench during Blues’ 2-1 win against King’s Lynn on Friday.
