ASHLEY Nathaniel-George is back in training at Southend United.
The 26-year-old has been out of action since having knee surgery at the end of the season.
But Blues boss Kevin Maher is delighted to see the winger back at Boots & Laces.
“He’s back out on the grass and I’m delighted to see him,” said Maher.
“He’s had a smile on his face playing football which is brilliant.
“The more he trains and gets more football minutes the better he’ll be.
“He missed pre-season so it will take a while but it’s great to see him back.”
Nathaniel-George joined Blues in October 2020 and made 32 appearances last season, scoring two goals.
