CHESTERFIELD have parted company with manager James Rowe.

The Spireites suspended Rowe last month over allegations of misconduct.

A statement from the National League club said: “Chesterfield Football Club and James Rowe have today come to an agreement that his position as manager will terminate with immediate effect by mutual consent.

“The club would like to thank James for his achievements during his tenure and wishes him well for the future.”

Assistant manager Danny Webb, a former Southend United striker, took over team affairs from Rowe, who was appointed 15 months ago following a successful stint in charge of Gloucester.

Chesterfield are currently second in the National League, one point behind leaders Stockport with a game in hand.
