SOUTHEND United’s Noor Husin is heading into Saturday’s showdown against Solihull Moors on a high.

The composed midfielder netted an impressive equaliser for the Shrimpers in Tuesday’s 1-1 draw at Eastleigh.

And Husin is now looking forward to returning to Roots Hall this weekend as two of the league’s most in-form teams go head to head.

“Our last two or three games have been away so it will be good to get back to the fans at Roots Hall,” said the 24-year-old.

“Every game is tough and this will be no different because they’re a good side.

“But we’re at home and we’ll be confident we can get the three points.”

Solihull are currently fourth in the National League standings but sit top of the current form guide after picking up 16 points from their last six.

But Blues, who are 12th in the table, are third in the form after going 10 games without defeat.

And Husin was pleased with the part he pleased in the Shrimpers’ picking up another point last time out.

“I was delighted with it and away from home we’ll take the point,” said Husin.

“I wouldn’t say we were disappointed but we’re not happy with a point either because of our form recently.

“It shows how far we’ve come but we’ll take the point and it’s another one to the tally.

“In the second half maybe we could’ve gone on to win it but away from home a point isn’t bad and it keeps our unbeaten run going ahead of the game on Saturday.”

And Husin is still not thinking beyond this weekend’s match.

“We can’t look too far ahead,” said the midfielder.

“We’ve just got to keep going and see where we are.”
